Leanne Massie

I am a BBSRC funded Ph.D. student in the group, co-supervised by Professor Vincent Jansen at Royal Holloway, and will be simulating the optimal conditions for biosynthetic algae to produce lipids for biofuels starting in October 2017. I am currently reading for my second master’s degree: Imperial’s MSc in bioinformatics and theoretical systems biology (directed by Professor Stumpf) as an introductory year to the group and my Ph.D.

I have already obtained an MSc from Imperial in computational methods in ecology and evolution and a BA from the University of Cambridge in natural sciences (plant sciences) at Newnham College. Previous projects include building a simulation of a community of human gut bacteria of varying group sizes and plant/insect interactions.
