I am a Wellcome Trust Ph.D. candidate under the supervision of Professor Michael Stumpf and co-supervised by Professor Matthias Merkenschlager. My work centers on developing interpretable statistical learning approaches to characterise stem cell dynamics from single-cell transcriptomic data. I am particularly interested in combining information theory and traditional machine learning models to intuit developmental processes.
Previously, I completed the MSc in Theoretical Systems Biology and Bioinformatics (Distinction) at Imperial College London, developing tools for constructing quasi-potential landscapes for stochastic dynamical systems and implementing pipelines for efficient Bayesian inference of model parameters from microscopy data. I now split my time between the School of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Melbourne, and the faculty of Life Science at Imperial.
